I am in Germany for Easter and the weather here is just beautiful.
Do you know this feeling in your stomach, when the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the air smells so fresh and sweet?
I just looked at these pictures and they make me feel so free and relaxed - so like summer.

this last week was full. but so good.
i was studying and writing essays.
playing with babies.
exploring the lake district.
riding the train.
playing the guitar.
going to bed late and getting up early.
drinking coffee. and tea with milk.
eating cake.

hearing god's voice.

and being happy.

life lately

i am sorry for my lack of creativity around here. 

at the moment i am really busy with uni stuff and just life in general.

i had two days last week where i didn't eat lunch because there just was no time. 

but i enjoy the business. 

life has been so good these last couple of weeks. 

full of new friends, good food and jesus.

and i am falling more and more in love 

with this beautiful country i have the privilege to live in.

Sonntag

Sonnenstrahlen tanzen über den Tisch
Aus dem Backofen weht Kuchenduft herüber,
vermischt sich mit dem Geruch frisch gewaschener Wäsche.
Die Sonne wärmt mir das Gesicht,
kalter Wind an den Beinen
frische Luft in meinen Lungen.
Ein Mann mit einem Hund läuft vorüber,
pfeift ein Lied und lächelt.
Der Platz oben ganz vorne im Bus ist noch frei,
wir fahren vorbei an Bäumen mit winzigen Knospen
und Krokussen in Vorgärten.
In mir ein Lied,
das handelt von der Liebe Gottes.
Ein Funken Glück,
und Frieden so tief wie das Meer.

• Editing pictures with Analog.

• Sunsets.

• Creating my own recipe for noodle soup.

• Redecorating my wall.

• Planting cress and watching it grow.

• Watching this. Over and over again.

Things that make me happy #4

... Getting packages in the mail from my lovely family.

This morning I got up at 7:40, got dressed and did my laundry.
I rewarded myself for being so productive first thing in the morning with a really good breakfast. Sitting in my room, sipping coffee, reading my favorite blog, hearing beethoven and the feeling of having a whole new day ahead of me made me incredibly happy.
I guess it's the little things in life that make a big difference.

Things that make me happy #3

Going to bed really early to read for an hour or two.
These holidays were filled with a lot of books (e-books aswell, I got a kindle for christmas).

I bought this one at the airport when I was on my way back home. 

I couldn't stop reading til i was finished.

My mum gave me this book for christmas.

A great book. Really challenging.

A classic.

Another classic.

This was my christmas present for my mum. 

Klaus Kordon is one of our alltime favorite authours.

I arrived at home and it feels so good to have my family around me.
For the next three weeks I just want to spend time with them, my friends and Jesus.
Therefore I am planning to take a little time off from the internet.
If inspiration hits me I might blog anyway, I'll see.
If not, have a wonderful christmas all you my lovely blog readers.

Things that make me happy #2

• Sitting in the bus, driving through beautiful Lancaster and listening to Noah and the Whale
• "I am carrying all the love of an orchestra"

• Reading "The Prodigal God" by Timothy Keller
• The idea of getting a day rider ticket and driving bus all day, looking at the christmas lights in everybody's houses
• This quote: 

• Finding a little bike shop and spotting the perfect bike for a reasonable price
• "Guess why I am smiling a lot? Because it's worth it."

Wishlist...

Because it's only 16 more days until my birthday I decided to post a little wishlist.

Not only my birthday, also the day I'm moving to England to live on my own moves closer. 

I think some tools would be pretty useful. Isn't this pink tool box cool? 

"Pride and Prejudice" (the one with the "real" Mr. Darcy - Colin Firth), 

"Sleepless in Seattle" (a classic and must-have in my DVD collection)

 and "A beautiful Mind" - one of my all time favorite movies.

Music makes me happy. 

First the "Best of" Cd by Otis Redding - he's my hero.

I can't believe that I don't own this album yet: 21 by the fabulous Adele

and the new Album "I'm with you" by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
